FSSAI Registration/Licence is a 14-digit number which is printed on all food packages available in the market. This number holds all details regarding the assembling state & the producer’s permit.

TYPES OF FSSAI LICENSE IN INDIA
1.) FSSAI-FOSCOS Basic License
Mandatory for small food business operators like food manufacturers, storage units, transporters, retailers, marketers & distributors having an annual turnover of up to 12 lakhs. This license is issued by the State Government with a tenure of 1 to 5 years.
2.) FSSAI-FoSCoS State License
Required for small to medium-sized food businesses with an annual turnover of more than 12 lakhs. Issued by the State Government, provided the business operates in a single state. License tenure: 1 to 5 years.
3.) FSSAI-FoSCoS Central License
Required for large-scale food businesses like importers, large manufacturers, and export-oriented units with an annual turnover of more than 20 crores. Issued by the Central Government. If a business operates in multiple states, this license is obtained for the head office. License tenure: 1 to 5 years.
